Step 1 • In your groups discuss briefly the terms on the list. • Especially review terms you are still struggling with or may be somewhat uncertain. • Be sure the dialogue in the group indicates superior understanding of the question and the terms • 5 Minutes (Each person in the group should fill in additional information contributed from other members in the group- record this material in your notes)

Step 2 • Discuss the categories each student came up with last night for homework • STAPLERD? (Social, Technological, Administrative, Political, Legal, Economic, Religious, Diplomatic) • Persia? (Political, Economical, Religious, Social, Intellectual, Artistic) • Determine which categories include the most terms from the assignment last night in regards to the prompt • 5 Minutes (Each student should record additional categories in their notes)
Step 3 • Before your groups writes a superior thesis, you all must contemplate your stance on this question. • Do you agree or disagree? Did the French and Indian War alter or not alter the relationship between the British and their colonies? • Are you all at a overwhelming yes or no or in between. • Discuss and back with the evidence • (5 Minutes)
Step 4 • Come up with a superior complex/split thesis which addresses all aspects of the prompt. • Do this together, however, everyone is responsible for completing one individually • TIME: Remainder of class to complete 4-5
Step 5 • Once you’ve created your thesis, create a chart with your categories and each piece of evidence you will include to support that particular category • Note: Ideally you should have 3-4 for each supporting category to back up your argument.
PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER • Once you have completed steps 1-5 as a group and individually complete slide 10 and turn it in on Monday. • If you are in school, I will provide a copy of slide 10 • If you are absent, you are responsible for printing slide 10 and submitting it at the beginning of class. • Thanks kindly!!
