  6. Module Structure • 20 credits • Semester 1 and 2 • Lectures – one hour per week • Labs/workshops – 2 hours, weekly or biweekly. • Biweekly Tutorials • Three Field trips IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO GET TO THE RIGHT CLASS ON TIME

  7. Attendance • Attendance will be recorded in classes and tutorials. • School disciplinary procedure applies.

  8. Field Work • Ovenden – Friday 28th Sept 2007 • Blencathra – 2rd-5th Nov 2007 • Woodhouse – Friday, spring 2008 FIELDWORK TAKES PRIORITY OVER ALL OTHER TEACHING DRESS APPROPRIATELY

  9. Tutorials • Biweekly in semester 1 and 2 • Times arrange by you and tutor • Require preparatory work • Tutor is first person to ask about things that concern or interest you • Your tutor is there to help you throughout degree programme

  10. Assessment • All coursework – no exams • Four separate assessments –some with multiple parts • Criteria given in manuals • All 4 should be attempted • Late marks will be applied (5 marks per day)

  11. Assessment MUST ACHIEVE MORE THAN 39 TO PASS THE MODULE MUST PASS SOEE 1440 TO PROGRESS TO YEAR 2 OF YOUR DEGREE PROGRAMME
