CMWG Met 3-6-12 • TSAT update– in service 3-6-12 in DA for RT 3-7 • CRR Model Build Document—comments received/submitted, ERCOT committed to respond with updated doc • CRR Auctions • draft NPRR to allow TAC to determine bid limits • CRR Subgroup—rolling auction proposals under development with ‘right sized’ credit • ERCOT is drafting an NPRR on annual auctions—splitting out the first and second year into two periods

CMWG 3-6 Mtg Update Continued • Heuristic table for electrically similar buses—ERCOT developing NPRR on posting the table • 2 step SCED Mitigation—ERCOT analysis • Discussed permutations to the analysis based on the table presented last month • No results yet—looking at different shift factor cutoffs for effective generation to resolve constraint and using a distributed slack bus

  4. CMWG 3-6 Mtg Update Continued • 69kV management discussion—CRR auctions are selling CRRs on lines where in RT the constraints are not enforced • Issue appears to be a Transmission Operating procedure that results in deactivation of a line when there is a Mitigation Plan and no gens w/ SF > 2%

  5. Ongoing • Potentially Interim CMWG meeting to look at Constraint Competitiveness test…
