BCCB Charter CSG Workshop: Research Computing The Board will develop: a plan for a CI across all disciplines including the role of a interdisciplinary computational science and engineering academic program and faculty; a utilization, organization and staffing model that provides open and equitable access to interested users; a sustainable financial model for the operation and support of the CI resources; and management guidelines and policies that are amenable to the evolution of the CU campus CI in the future.
Allocation committee CSG Workshop: Research Computing • Chaired by Vice Chancellor of Research • 5 PIs of the NSF grant • 5 faculty • Director research computing • Mission • Develop usage policies for the Janus supercomputer • Review usage • Review very large computational requests > 1,000,000 hours
Data Management Task Force CSG Workshop: Research Computing • Appointed by Vice Chancellor of Research • Membership • Libraries • National Snow and Ice Data Center • The Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP) • Research Computing • Taskedto • Perform a survey of faculty about their data needs • Create an inventory of data management resources at CU-Boulder • Provide a recommendation to the BCCB and VCR on how to proceed with data management at CU-Boulder
