Murray Bridge Retail and Traders, Arts and Culture, The Youth, Mypolonga, Monarto, Riverglen to Wellington, Gifford Hill and the Murray Bridge Broad Community all voicing their views and thoughts towards the 2020 vision. Key themes: Activating the river, Small Wins, empowering the youth, connected communities, developing a regional brand, a farmers market, community spaces,events and performers…

Imagine Murray Bridge 2020 Place Making Strategy Workshop data including post it notes, maps, visions, Small Wins and feedback was collated, examined, digested and developed into a series of documents - the place making strategy • Lay of the Land (Key Themes) - An analysis of the Place including the physical and social background and the values and context for the Place Making Strategy. • Community Values - Captures the ‘wisdom of the community’ and translates this wisdom into a practical guide for Council and stakeholders to use in better understanding the needs and the opinions of the community. • Place Making Strategy (Activating the Essence) - Using the 5Ps (People, Place, Product, Program & Planet) of Place Making, findings from the Lay of the Land and the Community Values Reports are analysed. The Place Essence and Place Principles are drawn from this research and help to develop a clear story for the place and its people. • Town Centre Master Plan and Structure Plan – Village Well working closely withconsultants to ensure community vision is embeddedinto these plans

  3. Imagine Murray Bridge 2020 Action Groups and Small Wins Each of the workshops held created an Action Group of spirited community members keen to deliver workshop outcomes. The Village Well team provided a series of “Small Wins” from their place making documents for the Action Groups to rollout. Action Groups and Small Wins Completed so far: Arts and Culture • Mosaic at the LGC • Busking and Street performers in the region • Creation of an Arts and Culture working party Mypolonga • Prepare an information map for Mypolonga

Imagine Murray Bridge 2020 Action Groups and Small Wins Action Groups and Small Wins - In Progress Arts and Culture • Cleaning up the railway cutting • Contributing to Adelaide Road linear park • Cleaning up the shell depot • Support Major Events with Busking and Street Performers • "Menagerie of Music“ - Soiree of classical music in the Town Hall • Re-enactment of the Town Hall opening • Participate is the South Australian Living Artists festivalby involving the traders and artists

Imagine Murray Bridge 2020 Action Groups and Small Wins Action Groups and Small Wins - In Progress The Youth • Holding an all ages music event • Hosting an iron man event at the pool • Mock Council meeting • Establish a recording studio at The Station • Provide support for solo artists Monarto and Callington • Hold community gatherings such as BBQ at the Oval,twice a year (Community Glue) • Provide Entry Sign at Monarto Recreation Complexto highlight existing facilities. • Re-Instatement of Playground at MonartoRecreation Complex

Imagine Murray Bridge 2020 Action Groups and Small Wins Action Groups and Small Wins - In ProgressRiverglen to Wellington • Produce a heritage trail of historic areas along the river from Riverglen to Wellington • Engage Riverglen to Wellington community by delivering a letter outlining the small wins process, and an opportunity to participate or provide feedback. • Create a regional Visitor Information Office for Jervois at the River Flat Café • Provide and erect Amenities Signage for each area/town between Riverglen and Wellington that informs visitors of the available facilitieswithin that town/area. Mypolonga • Establish an information bay • Create an brand for Mypolonga • Setup an online community calendar • Investigate heritage trail • Upgrade facilities at Hill Road Reserve

Broader Murray Bridge • Undertake branding exercise for the region • Establish walking trails and cycle paths • Develop Adelaide Road • Enhance the region with a consistent approach to signage and reserve furniture with the“Urban Design Style Manual” • Establish a Farmers Market
