Introduction • 2nd in the series of PS& SPS days: • Aims of the days as defined in ABMB (29/03/04): • A special two-days technical review of all CERN accelerators and experimental areas is organized once a year for general information and to identify the main issues concerning operational aspects, beam machine performances, consolidation, modifications and possible improvements, etc….. • Not a conference and/or collection of status reports • Forum for presentation and discussion focusing on key issues with a specific potential problem and/or action to be defined and not covered by the various committees (ABIC, ABOC, APC, EATC, Safety….) • Overview of the whole accelerator complex presently in operation (not the projects: LHC, CNGS, LEIR, CTF3…) • Complementary to Chamonix@.... 2006 PS&SPS days (18-19/01/06)

Organisation • Organised by a program committee composed with the chairperson and scientific secretary of the days and the conveners of the various sessions sessions • Review split in sessions (1/2 day) with a dedicated theme and conveners (a chairperson and a technical secretary) responsibles for the session • Identifying the key issues and subjects to be presented and discussed • Selecting the presentators, the persons invited and organising discussion with the aim of defining the action to be made (if any) with a well defined responsible and body to report to. • Recommendations for decision by ABMB • No report but slides available on the Web (prior to presentation….) 2006 PS&SPS days (18-19/01/06)
