Introduction • This e-campus help file will empower students to take control of their class assignments and submit work on time and in the correct locations! • Students will be confident to work in e-campus with ease! • After this course, students will successfully know how to submit an assignment.
For Starters……. • You need to know your login ID and password before accessing the course information. Your login ID will be your student ID number with an “e” at the beginning. • You also need to know your password which you have chosen. • If you have any issues logging in or do not know your login or password information you may contact the Technical Support Team at DCCCD by email or phone’ • Email: Technical Support • Phone: 1-866-374-7169
List of Materials • Desktop computer or laptop with internet access • Microsoft Word and PowerPoint • Login and Password information
Step by Step Instructions 1. Click on the tab “Submit Work HERE” on the left side of the screen. 2. In the subject line, type your last name then assignment name (ex. Smith.Correspondence1) 3. Attach Word file (file should be saved in one of the following formats): • RTF (Rich Text Format) • Doc (MS Word 97–2003) • Docx (MS Word 2007-2010) - Click “Browse My Computer” - Click “Documents” - Locate the word document you wish to submit and click “Open”.

Click “Submit” at either the top or bottom of the screen. - Click “Browse My Computer” (this will list all saved documents and materials). - Click “Documents” - Locate the word document you wish to submit and click“Open” - Click “Submit” at either the top or bottom of the screen. 5. Check your post by clicking on the thread in “Discussion Board” and opening the file.
Completing and Posting Quizzes 1. Click on “Assignments” tab on the left side of the screen. You have 24 hours to complete quizzes after they are posted. 2. Click on the quiz that is assigned. Quizzes are timed and MUST be submitted in one session. Make sure you have set aside the allotted time for the quiz with no interruptions. A timer is located at the top of the screen. Once the timer goes off, you must submit the quiz. 3. Click the “Submit” button to complete the quiz.
Conclusion • All students will be able to use this handy help file presentation and power point. No longer will technical writing students have the frustration of figuring out how to submit completed assignments and where they should be submitted in e-campus. By using the help file, students will be more successful in submitting assignments in a timely manner without worrying about deducted points for assignments being late. Ultimately students will gain confidence in using the tabs in e-campus’s technical writing course knowing that their work is received and ready for grading and review.
