Hair analysis: • Place a small drop of water in the middle of a microscope slide. • Place the hairs side-by-side or crossing each other in the drop of water and put a cover slip over them. • Examine the hairs under LOW, MEDIUM and HIGH power of the microscope. • Draw a section of each hair under HIGH power and make notes on any differences.

How to write a scientific explanation (CER) C= Claim. Statement that responds to the question. E= Evidence. Data that support your claim. R= Reasoning. Explain why your evidence (data) supports your claim. In other words, how does your data prove your point?
