Our (shared) Vision “ To move women in business from periphery into the mainstream of the economy through the use of Technology”
Our Mission Statement “TWIB is a DTI initiative aimed at enhancing the accessibility of science and technology to women in business and in particular in small, medium and micro enterprises (SMME's).”
Our Strategic Intent TWIB Strategic Plan is in line with the dti’s Main Objectives: • Competitiveness • Economic empowerment • Enterprise development • Spatial and targeted development • Industry participation
Our Strategic Thinking Process This process is in line with the Government’s priority : To improve peoples (women in particular) lives by developing communities in the high poverty stricken areas. To encourage Entrepreneurship for Job Creation with technology being the enabler.

TWIB Projects for WIB • Water2Women and Roromoulding Project (Eastern Cape ) • Waste2Wood (Eastern Cape) • Barroti and TWIB online SMME Support • The ICT Training in Partnership with APDF. 6 Provinces have been covered. • Kgabane Women Project incubated at the CSIR (KZN) • TWIB Conference and Annual awards in recognition of the Women entrepreneur with innovative technology (9 – 10 August 2002)
