How would you see the apple in the dark? • You would not see the apple, regardless of how long you are in the room. • You would see the red apple after your eyes have had time to adjust to the dark. • You would see the apple after your eyes have had time to adjust to the dark, but you would not see the red color. • You would see only a faint outline of the apple after adjusting to the dark.
And the answer is… #1. You would not see the apple no matter how long you waited! You can only see two ways: • A source gives off light and shines directly into your eye b. Light from a source reflects off of an object and goes to your eye So without a source of light, you cannot see the apple
