  2. Elvis Aaron Presley * Elvis Aaron Presley, also known as the King of Rock and Roll. Born on January 8, 1935 in Tupelo Mississippi. In 1954 he started his career as one of the first performers of rockabilly. His new versions of existing songs, mixing African - American and Caucasian sounds, made him popular.

  3. Problems As a singer and performer Elvis had problems. The first mistake was getting involved with the wrong people. Those people ruined Elvis Presley’s life by convincing him drugs were good. One time he came home and was very drunk. He ordered Pricilla to wait on him hand and foot while he was drunk. When he stopped being drunk she told him to set up a divorce. Elvis was very sad. A few months later Elvis found a new fiancée, a lady named Ginger Alden. By then he was having very serious problems with drugs.

  4. Death One night Ginger found Elvis on the floor in the bathroom. She took him to the hospital. But she wasn’t really worried. She had had to take Elvis to the hospital before. She was sure it wasn’t something serious. But she was wrong. On August 16, 1977 at 3:30 Elvis Presley was officially dead.
