  2. The people gather Today we gather to remember those who formed Blue Care into the agency it is today. Today we remember how we can find our own place in the service of God. Today we remember how mission holds us tight in community. Today we remember how God works to make all things his own. Let us worship God. [A blue candle is lit]

  4. then over us would have gone the raging waters. Blessed be the Lord, who has not given us as prey to their teeth. We have escaped like a bird from the snare of the fowlers; the snare is broken, and we have escaped. Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

  13. Affirmation of Faith We are not alone we live in God’s world. We believe in God: who has created and is creating, who has come in Jesus, the Word made flesh, to reconcile and make new, who works in us and others by the Spirit. We trust in God.  …cont.

We are called to be the Church: to celebrate God’s presence, to live with respect in Creation, to love and serve others, to seek justice and resist evil, to proclaim Jesus, crucified and risen, our judge and our hope. In life, in death, in life beyond death, God is with us. We are not alone. Thanks be to God.
