  4. Griffin’s Expectations are posted throughout the school campus: • Classrooms • Cafeteria • Computer Lab • Hallways • Restrooms • Main Office • Media Center • P.E. Field

  6. Griffin’s “Eagle-I Am” Punch Card When the “Eagle/I Am” punches are given to the students they are complimented for practicing the “Griffin Expectations” such as: “Thank you for practicing Respect and Responsibility.”

  7. Eagle Tickets are given to administrators, specials teachers and non-instructional staff members to give to students they observe the students exhibiting Griffin Expectations. Students give these tickets to their teachers and receive a punch on their card

  8. “Ticket in the Door” Example of an invitation to the monthly PBS Celebration • A completed “Punch Card” earns the student a number of reinforcers. • Within the classroom, students earn a small reinforcer at the end of each • row. The goal is to gradually increase to two rows, three rows, etc, prior to • receiving the reinforcer. • When a card is completely filled – Student will be entered into the grand • prize drawing for the month. Winners are announced on the “Griffin News Show.” • A completed card earns an invitation to the monthly party. (Example shown above)

  11. 2009-2010 Data is reviewed and analyzed at the monthly PBS Team Meeting Data is shared at the monthly PBS Faculty Meeting

  12. Funds to Support PBS The PBS team implemented an in-house fundraiser to raise funds for the PBS project. Teachers/staff may wear jeans on Friday by paying $2.00. Teachers/staff who have paid their $2.00 fee wear the “Eagle” sticker on Fridays to show their support for PBS.

  19. Griffin Elementary Goal Statement and Strategies Goal Statement: The goal at Griffin Elementary is to provide a safe and disciplined environment for all students. We will decrease the number of office referrals for the 2009-2010 school year by handling minor infractions within the classroom by using the Positive Behavior Support (PBS) method (PS/RtI:B) Strategies: Using the PSRtI:B model, the referral form has been changes so that minor infractions will be handled within the classroom through conferencing and parent contact. Griffin has a school-wide positive reward system.
