ROLE PLAY/GROUP DISCUSSION QUESTIONS DISCUSSION QUESTIONS: PTSD • Do you have ‘concerns’ about any of your thoughts, feeling or behaviors since returning from active duty? • What are your sleep patterns like? • What are your financial concerns at this time? • Describe how you think you’ve changed in the last 5 years? (pre and post deployment) • Have people around you, especially those how knew you before deployment, say that you are more short tempered then in the past?

ROLE PLAY/GROUP DISCUSSION QUESTIONS DISCUSSION QUESTIONS: SUBSTANCE ABUSE • Do you have other questions you’d like answered about alcohol or drug use? • What does drinking (or drugging) do for you? • In what circumstances do you find yourself wanting to resort to alcohol or drugs? • What other solutions have you found for coping with these circumstances? • Do you have questions about dealing with loved ones who may be using alcohol or drugs to “cope”?

  5. ROLE PLAY/GROUP DISCUSSION QUESTIONS DISCUSSION QUESTIONS: ANGER ISSUES • When you are feeling angry what do you do? • What steps do you take to avoid emotional overload? Are your actions helpful or harmful? • What steps can you take to avoid anger causing situations? • How do you talk to yourself? Are you super critical or are you tolerant of your own short comings? • Are you able to accept the shortcomings of others? If not what needs to change within side of you?
