Subra Ganesan - East A dormant IEEE Chapter in Saginaw has been reactivated it with the help of R4 executives. Central Michigan University now has IEEE Student chapter that we helped activate. Oakland University IEEE Student Chapter was made more active by joining hands with GL-SPIN in organizing an embedded system software meeting. IEEE SEM (South East Michigan) chapters held a one day conference twice a year in Fall and Spring of 2009 and 2010. We send this information to other chapters in R4.
Embedded System Workshop One day workshop on Embedded System was held on September 29, 2007. It was free to all IEEE CS members and any one. Around 220 persons attended. 4 companies sponsored this event with free food, snacks etc ( approx $2500). At the end the attendees got a certificate of attendance. As a consequence nearly 10 engineers joined IEEE . Society members pleased.
