Installation Pre-requisites • Always verify the deployment of • Java SDK • NTP daemon • Latest glite-yaim gilda-yaim • Check your host certificates in /etc/grid-security and its permissions: -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1127 Jun 14 12:27 hostcert.pem -r-------- 1 root root 887 Jun 14 12:28 hostkey.pem • WMS+LB services requires a wide range of ports (Set the firewall allowing input for any protocol in the range of ports > 1023)

  3. Glite and Glida Metapackages • Usual combination: BDII and WMS + LB • Possible combination: CE and WMS • CE/RB or RB/SE doesn’t work.

  4. Generic LCG RB Installation • Edit /opt/glite/yaim/examples/gilda-ig-site-info.def and use it in all the nodes. RB_HOST=rb-XXX • Install the metapackage for a RB /opt/glite/yaim/scripts/install_node ./my-site-info.def lcg-RB • Configure as RB node /opt/glite/yaim/scripts/configure_node ./my-site-info.def RB

  5. Generic WMS+LB Installation • Edit /opt/glite/yaim/examples/site-info.def and use it in all the nodes. WMS_HOST=rb-XXX • Install the metapackage for WMS and LB /opt/glite/yaim/scripts/install_node ./my-site-info.def glite-WMSLB • Configure as WMS+LB node /opt/glite/yaim/scripts/configure_node ./my-site-info.def WMSLB

  6. Gilda RB Installation • Install these extra packages: • CA_Gilda rpm (https://gilda.ct.infn.it/RPMS/) • edg_VO_Gilda rpm (https://gilda.ct.infn.it/RPMS/) • gilda_ig-yaim-3.0.0(http://grid018.ct.infn.it/apt/gilda_app-i386/utils/) • Modify gilda_ig-site-info.def and edit this fields: RB_HOST=rb-XXX • Install all packages for a Gilda LCG RB /opt/glite/bin/gilda_ig_install_node ./my-site-info.def GILDA_ig_RB • Configure Gilda RB node /opt/glite/bin/gilda_ig_configure_node ./my-site-info.def GILDA_ig_RB

  7. WMS Logs • Logs can be found in /var/log/glite • networkserver_events.log • workload_manager_events.log • They are the best starting point to deal with eventual problems. • You can monitor and follow the jobs • See if the BDII and RGMA purchasing is working fine
