Local winds Are winds that blow over short distances caused by unequal heating of the earths surface in a small area.
Prevailing winds Are winds that blow predominantly from a single general direction over a particular point on Earth’s surface.
Planetary winds Any wind system of the earth's atmosphere which owes its existence and direction to solar radiation and to the rotation of the earth.
