Collaborative Effort: • Partnership • Navajo Nation Oil & Gas, Inc. (NNOGC) • Division of Economic Development • Various Chapters • RBDOs provide community data, feasibility studies, surveys, chapter input, fund for tasks; etc.
NNOGC has the experience and expertise in gas station and convenience store operations • 8 Stores in three states: • Arizona, New Mexico & Colorado; • Approximately 60 full time employees • Collaboration between entities is essential to assure project completion.
Tentative Sites: • Churchrock – State Hwy 566 and 118 • Shonto - State Hwy 160 and 98 • Crownpoint – State Hwy 371 and Route 9 • Mariano Lake – former Trading Post site • Ojo Amarillo – Route 36 and Ojo Amarillo Rd • Ramah – State Hwy 53 and BIA Rt. 125 • Leupp – AZ Road 99 and Leupp Rd • Lupton – West of Route 12 • Teec Nos Pos – US Hwy 160 and 64 • Naschitti – Hwy 491, east of the Elementary School

Cost: • $15 million ($1.5M x 10 sites) for facility and infrastructure construction; • ARRA 2009 Funding Request for facility construction; • NNOGC to invest (inventory and operating cost) and will operate convenience stores.
Site Criteria: • Land Withdrawn • Land Survey with legal description • Market Feasibility Study • Environmental Assessment • Archaeological Clearance • Highway Access • Infrastructure , Availability with Capacity: • electrical • water • wastewater
Tasks: • Retained Architect to design facilities; • Complete assessments, assure the infrastructure is available with the capacity to support the development; • Appraisal Services requested for 10 sites; • Negotiate Business Site Leases; • Submit funding request by July 30, 2009; • Coordinate and monitor funding request;
