  1. Commissioning week report Eric, 5-9 may 2014

Moore • Moore v22r1 (Hlt1&2) runs over 2012 L0 deferred data • Various feature changes: • Forking before runnumber change hack • Killing of lumi banks now done in Hlt2 • Dec and selreport writers now give correct sourceIDin output sequence • Tested 3 architectures: • deferred output to /daqarea • deferrred output to /daqarea and left on the /localdisk (necessary for processing by Hlt2) • deferred Hlt2 on Hlt1 output • Forking & checkpointing also tested and works Computing workshop 21 may 2014

Alignment & Calibration • Silvia & Maurizio ran alignment (by hand) over Hlt1 output data • Jibo made new constants independent of data • New constants: • /group/online/alignment • Gerhard is modifying Hlt2 to read these constants • Problem with Rich1 & 2 constants with the same names (but different paths in the db) Computing workshop 21 may 2014

  4. Monitoring • Updated Monitoring programs to run on Hlt1 output data • Released VanDerMeer v6r1 (now uses Online v5r8 to get the correct DAQ/RawEvent.h) Computing workshop 21 may 2014

  5. To be done (before next comm. week) • Hlt1 reads MEPs, HLT2 reads MDF • Event selector options need settings for Hlt1 & 2 • Run Hlt2 deferred and read the new constants • Test Hlt2 “file” monitoring • Some problems finding routingbits & selreports • Automate the production of the new constants • Simone is developing a two-track and di-hadron line for Hlt1 • Preliminary L0 BW decision by next LHCb week • Required to decide how Hlt1 will look • Control system should add entity references to calibration & alignment xml files in • Hlt1_online_xxx.xml (just in case we need this in the future) • Hlt2_online_xxx.xml Computing workshop 21 may 2014
