  1. Report on TileCal Commissioning January 25, 2006

  2. Team 1: installation, services... • Team 2: repairs • Team 3: ”routing the last 20 meters of cables”, USA15 connection, finger connections, LVPS insertion, DCS monitoring • Team 4: commissioning of superdrawers, take data using MobiDaq

  3. Team 5 • Led by Kerstin and Martina Hurwiz • Analyse ALL commissioning data as they come  team 5 shifts (1am1pm Stockholm, 1pm1am Chicago) e.g. 3 runs to check on Tuesday 2 long runs taken during the week end. • In depth analysis of problems, feedback to hardware folks

  4. Commissioning data • Pedestal runs • Charge injection scan • Constant charge injection • LED/laser: light pulse injected into the PMT • Physics/cosmics

  5. Pedestal runs • Pedestal, noise, coherent noise ... Low and high freq. Noise (Kerstin) Coherent noise: look at covarariance matrix for the 48 channels (Ulla)

  6. Single charge injection runs (”MonoCIS”) • Inject a defined and constant charge before the shaper, only done on the low gain (why?) • Find non responding (dead channels) • Check stability over time (long runs over the week end)

  7. This run looks good! Long run (60051) over the week end: problems in module C47 (Kerstin)

  8. Time (a.u.)

  9. Charge injection scan • Inject increasing charges into the shaper • Stuck bits, • Check linearity • Compute gains • Check pulse shapes • Reconstructed pulse height vs phase

  10. Outlook • Increase productivity: efficient ways to look at commissioning runs for team 5 shifters • Define specific analyses and assign to various folks • Make available tools to be able to look at this data in new ways, access all relevant information (eg DCS)
