  3. Schedule for production - LPCC CDF - September 2001 • Since August 24th, 2001 : public tender is published (European restricted procedure). • November 2001 : after the 1st candidates selection, the specification document will be sent. AT THIS TIME THE DESIGN HAS TO BE FINISHED!!!

Schedule for production - LPCC CDF - September 2001 • January 2002 : selection of the better offer, taking in consideration the production schedule, costs and quality insurance. • Before March 2002, we want test our first prototype « UB » with PMT Bases, a complete FE, Led flasher, and all other parts. • We can not start the industrial production without this tests!

  7. Schedule for production - LPCC CDF - September 2001 This schedule depend on : • Component availability • Budget possibility • Prototypes testing approbation • Factory disponibility • We must define all UB specifications

Quality requirements for Unified Board - LPCC CDF - Sept. 2001 • Quality insurance : In our public tender we have asked for the ISO 9000 quality insurance (or equivalent), technical and man power resources, tests procedures, production logging system and boards backtracking. • The boards reliability is defined by the MIL-HDBK-217F standard (ground fixed conditions) • The MTBF index is determined and must be equal to the Auger life time.
