Service above Self End Polio Now Rotarian Deanna Magdich, and husband Phil joined Rotarians from around the world to participate in the National Immunization Days in India starting February 24th for the sole purpose of giving the polio vaccine to children. Fairfield Glade Rotary

Rotarian Deanna Magdich of the Fairfield Glade Rotary Club said that Bill Gates, Co-Chair of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation expressed it best when he said "The world would not be where it is without Rotary and it won't get where it needs to go without Rotary." Service above Self The SMHS Rotary Interact students, here with Nick Reed, Youth Services Director, last year and this year, worked hard to raise $1,000 for the purchase of a shelter box. Kim Kim, the incoming Rotary District Governor from the Nashville area, was our guest speaker and was excited to accept their donation. Mr. Kim has been very active in providing and delivering shelter boxes to disaster areas around the world. In addition to the Interact donation, our Club raised $2,000 from this year's Wine on the Plateau event towards the purchase of two shelter boxes.
