Skeleton Identification PP • You will create a PP that shows slides for the following skeletal concepts: • Axial skeleton • Appendicular skeleton • True rib, false rib and floating rib • Cervical, Thoracic and Lumbar vertebrae • Short bone, Long bone, Irregular bone, Sesamoid bone and Flat bone • Long bone showing Epiphysis and Diaphysis • Growth Plates on bone in arm or leg • Articulating cartilage (found in joints) • Ligaments • Bone marrow

  2. Slide Content • You need to find a labeled picture that clearly illustrates each structure • You need to include text (in your words) that describe the slide and identify important facts or features pertaining to the structure.

  3. Example for Bone Marrow • Bone marrow is a yellowish fluid found inside the long bones in the medulary cavity (ie– humerus). It produces red and white blood cells as well as platelets.
