Seasons • Earth’s seasons are based off of the rotation of the Earth. • Each season has it’s own characteristics, or the way it makes it unique and different. • Can you name the seasons and some of the differences?
Spring • March, April, May • Warming up, but still a little cold • Rainy days
Summer • June, July, August • Hot, muggy • Sunshine and rain
Fall/Autumn • September, October, November • Cooling down, can sometimes be warm • Cloudy, sunshine, and rain can happen
Winter • December, January, February • Cold • Snow, freezing rain, somewhat sunny
Spring • Summer • Fall/Autumn • Winter
How does weather change? • Weather changes every day and we can’t affect it. • It can change because of wind, precipitation (rain, snow, hail), and temperature (hot versus cold). • What kind of weather have you seen that changes quickly?
What are some ways that you have seen the weather change fast?
