Pink Tax •  "Pink Tax" is a term used to describe the extra amount women are charged (typically 7%) for products and services • Also describes harassment faced disproportionately by women • NYU Rudin Center survey of public transit riders: • 75% of the women surveyed experienced harassment or theft (47% of men) • Most caregivers paid at least $75 additional besides normal work trips • Women pay more to take “safer” forms of transit, especially at night • Do women in Michigan pay a pink tax on transit services? • What can we do to fix that?
