CENTRAL RANGE BLOCK PROSPECTIVITY • Shallow Licence • Surface to Base late Oligocene/early Miocene (Nariva sand) • Turbidites and fans encased in calcareous clays • Existing fields– Tabaquite, Guapo, Brighton • Only shallowest thrust slice of imbricate system penetrated
CENTRAL RANGE BLOCK PROSPECTIVITY • Deep Licence • Cretaceous to Oligocene • Turbidites and fans in calcareous clays • Continuation of Angostura Play Trend to onshore. • Possible early Cretaceous/late Jurassic shallow water deposits • Eocene/Early Oligocene onshore sands have similar characteristics to the hydrocarbon bearing Angostura play.
CENTRAL RANGE BLOCK PROSPECTIVITY • Deep Licence • Working Cretaceous-Nariva petroleum system. • Cretaceous Deep Marine Clastics Play: very thick sandstone interbedded with shales. • Miocene Herrera Play Trends:3D imaging likely to resolve complicated structures (i.e. Corasan/Baraka). • Plio-Pleistocene Play Trend Mature play, but 3d imaging may yield new stratigraphic traps.
HERRERA BLOCK PROSPECTIVITY • Shallow Licence • Surface to base of mid-Miocene • Turbidites, fans, deltaic and fluvial deposits • Proved potential in Southern Basin • Deep Licence • top early-Miocene and Oligocene to Cretaceous/Jurassic • Deep water deposits
SOUTHWEST PENINSULAPROSPECTIVITY • Shallow • Surface to base late Miocene • Pliocene and Pleistocene deltas with thick sand reservoirs • Part of the Columbus Basin gas province • Proven potential with approximately 1 billion barrels of oil production from small portion of acreage • Extension of the Pedernales Anticline, Venezuela
GUAYAGUAYARE BLOCK PROSPECTIVITY • Shallow Licence • Surface to depth of 5000’ • Pleistocene and Pliocene shelfal deposits • Proven potential (production from old fields of approx. 100mmbo) • Acreage straddles Columbus Basin gas province • Probable resources: • Oil - 503 mmbo • Gas – 1155 tcf • Carambola 1 – 90 bcf gas.
NORTH COAST MARINE AREA 2 History • 2D seismic - 320 Km distributed in 17 lines. • 3D seismic - 400 Km2. • Sedimentary section includes channel fill deposits and a combination of beach and barrier sands. • Producing gas reservoirs in Chaconia and Hibiscus Fields.

NORTH COAST MARINE AREA 3 • 1980- Western Geophysical Company acquired seismic data, which showed several high amplitude anomalies. • The area is complexly faulted, therefore hydrocarbon accumulations are likely to be fault controlled. • The sedimentary section includes 20,000 ft. of Tertiary and Quaternary clastics which overlay Upper Jurassic and Lower Cretaceous low grade metamorphic rocks.
BLOCK 2ab • Continuation of the Nariva Fold and thrust belt which was successfully explored. • Prolific Angostura sands encountered in 2 wells drilled. • Prospective for oil and gas.
TRINIDAD & TOBAGO DEEP ATLANTIC AREA History • Large structures mapped. • UDW province has generated and expelled hydrocarbons - viable working source system. • Piston core data confirm the presence of thermogenic gas and oil. • Geochemistry of samples similar to Trinidad Cretaceous oil source.
Deep Water area - Tested but no success in shallow section (Pleistocene). However there may be significant deep Prespectivity Columbus basin play 1 Pliocene – Pleistocene deltaic listric rollover traps Ultra deep water area - abyssal plain sediments in tip thrust folds of accretionary prism Pleistocene Columbus basin play 2 Lwr Pliocene – Miocene Deep Play Chacalacca, Ibis Deep Pliocene Miocene Stratigraphic Character of Ultra Deep Province
