Recap • At the November 5 meeting, you asked for input on five issues • Rank ordering of units and the different ways to look at the “best performers” • Comparison of coal data during sampling vs. 1999 yearly average • Compilation of data for oil-fired units • Compilation of non-mercury HAP data for coal-fired units • Sequencing of controls

  3. Today’s meeting • We formed three “mini-groups” to address the first three issues • Will hear presentations and discussion on these today • Will discuss the process and schedule for the fourth issue this afternoon • Seek additional input on the fifth issue

  4. Items to think about • Items we’d also like to discuss this afternoon • Next meeting -- propose Tuesday, February 5, in Washington, D.C. • Feedback on use of “mini-groups” • Action items for next meeting(s)

Issue: Compilation of non-Hg HAP data for coal units • Non-mercury HAP data are included in the Final Report to Congress • Are in the process of extracting data into an electronic file for distribution to Working Group • File will have same basic parameters as in mercury file WHERE AVAILABLE • Plan to have file available for February meeting

  11. Feedback on “mini-groups” • “Mini-groups” formed following last meeting • Intended to be short-term • No decision-making authority • To allow for input and participation by more of Working Group and to facilitate discussion • Balanced membership • Discussion on future use

  12. Next meeting • Next CAAAC meeting is scheduled March 5 (subcommittees) and March 6 (full CAAAC) • Propose next Working Group meeting for Tuesday, February 5, in Washington, D.C. • Discuss non-Hg HAP from coal units • Continuing discussion of today’s issues or any others that have arisen
