Background • Fire fighting equipment not addressed during market opening • Currently different approaches exist where connections have fire fighting equipment installed • Agree best approach with the market for future installations • ESB Networks propose to standardise fire fighting connection

  3. Specific Proposal • New MCC codes to inform market of metering specifics at MPRN • Meter points with fire fighting equipment have only one MPRN • For NQH Connections A 24Hr CT meter to be installed to cater for fire fighting requirements in addition to existing metering for the MPRN • For QH Connections An additional QH meter installed to cater for fire fighting requirements with the existing QH meter site specific requirements. PDS will totalise the data from this meter

  5. Impact • Standardised approach to installation of fire fighting equipment at meter points across NQH and QH connections • Readily identifiable to the market due to the introduction of the new meter configurations codes
