Introduction GMAT short form for the Graduate Management Admission Test is a standardized test that examines candidate skills and readiness for the master's degree programs or top B-schools across the globe. The GMAT exam is conducted by GMAC (Graduate Management Admission Council). This test is comprised of four different sections i.e. Reading, Writing, Verbal and Quantitative Aptitude. Candidates are helped by top prep-institutions like GMAT Singapore to ace all these sections and crack the GMAT smoothly. Apart from all the given sections, candidates find it very difficult to score in the quantitative section due to the involvement of mathematics. This is why I am writing this blog to let you know some tips that might be handy for you. Without wasting further time, let's move to the details.

  3. ACE THE QUANTITATIVE SECTION WITH THESE 5 TIPS It is important to know the mathematics inside out if you are looking to score well in the GMAT quant section. Not just solving the answers but you should know when you have enough information to solve it because you'll find some questions which are meant to trick you as well. TIP #1 – REVIEW THE BASICS OF MATH I know you want to invest every time in GMAT preparation but remember one thing, if you are looking to do well in the quantitative section, you need to brush up basic maths regularly. This is because you are likely to come across different questions in the GMAT exam that needs a basic math understanding. You need to learn different strategies to deal with the questions that are considered tricky.

  5. TIP #2 – DON'T DOUBT YOUR PACE The Quantitative section consists of 31 questions for which you'll have roughly 62 odd minutes. And, it is a fact that every question doesn't consume the same time. So, you don't need to be afraid of investing more minutes than average on questions you know how to deal with. Some wordy questions are intentionally kept there to trick you but are the easiest ones if you crack them. Practice different types of questions during GMAT exam preparation to get an idea of how much time different types of questions tend to consume. This will give you an idea to adjust your pace while answering and remember never doubt your pace.

  6. TIP #3 – ALWAYS TRY TO KEEP IT SIMPLE Yes, GMAT is tough, but the math is basic. Remember, if you're doing something that is taking a lot of time and seems too hard to solve, then you may be doing it all wrong. Because the solutions of the quant questions are always easy if you're able to find out how to approach it in the right way. If you think you're heading towards the wrong path, make sure you're starting over. Many GMAT takers who share their experience always add keeping things simple was their key to success.

  7. TIP #4 – BE REALISTIC AND DON'T OVER EXPECT Everyone thinks that I will practice every possible practice questions during GMAT exam preparation online. But, that's not true my friend, you need to be realistic and should stick to a solid study plan which is very important. Without that, your preparation might be incomplete which is likely adversely affect your score. Never over expect from yourself, because it will cause a lot of unnecessary stress to you. Make sure you practice official GMAT practice questions available online.
