Andrew Lesnak worked to address the mental health issues caused by the disaster. These issues included severe depression, distress, anxiety, and hopelessness, along with many other psychiatric disorders. Andrew Lesnak could Still Recall the Horrific Moments of Hurricane Sandy • Andrew Lesnak can never forget the harrowing sounds of shattering windows and people screaming unmercifully for help • Prior to hurricane, he was leading a blissful and a financially comfortable life • He was a Major League Baseball player, with the Minnesota Twins, and the owner of a financial planning firm, for over 25 years

Andrew Provided a Helping Hand to Hurricane Victims after Coming to Terms of his own losses • He worked to address the mental health issues caused by the disaster • These issues included severe depression, distress, anxiety, and hopelessness, along with many other psychiatric disorders • He helped victims focus on rebuilding their life, learn how to keep things in proper perspective, and build a supportive community to help each other as well • He could empathize with other victims of hurricane, since he was one • Soon after, he decided to be more active with solving life issues of the victims

Andrew Started The Spero Advocacy Group to Take his Volunteerism to even Greater Levels • This group was aimed at addressing the most common issues, caused by trauma, which includes depression, substance abuse, and hopelessness • Through this organization, Andrew Lesnak helped victims restore their financial affairs and help them rebuild their homes • Thereafter, he decided to partner with Hope Sheds Light, which is headquartered in Toms River, New Jersey • Andrew Lesnak worked to provide resources to the individuals and their families • He addressed the traumas that are quite prevalent in such type of situations including depression, substance abuse, and hopelessness

He Served as an Advocate to the Suffering Victims through his Community Outreach Program • This program was aimed at assisting the victims of catastrophic events, like what he had experienced • He helped people find affordable housing and provided them with training to enhance their earning capabilities
