  1. Scientific Question - What will happen if water was added to the slope to increase the speed; will it make the Goo go increase or decrease ? Hypothesis – if you add water to the slope, it will increase the speed because water is a liquid and it will make the Aluminum Foil slippery causing the Goo to slide down ( with an increase of speed ) H o t I c e ` . .   2. Materials List : Cardboard box Two Quaker Oatmeal cans Scissors Tape ( Clear, Duck, and Masking ) Aluminum Foil 3 Smart Brand Water Bottles Timer Water Measuring Cup Water Dropper Straws Next

Procedure : • Take 3 of the half Quaker Oak cans and tape them together. • Cover all 3 with Aluminum Foil and tape it to the back of the can. • Put duck tape at each end of the chute. • Tape half of the Smart Water bottle in the middle of the cardboard box. • Use masking tape to connect the chute to the top of the Smart Water bottle. • Take the last half of the Quaker Oak can and put it under the the bottom using 3 pieces of masking tape . • Place you Goo along your starting point. • Now start your timer ( make sure you reset it ) • When your Goo gets to the end, stop the timer. And record down your time. • Take your Goo off of the chute. • Replace it back at your starting point. • Now that everything is done, all you have to do is get the Water Dropper and put water along the chute. • Now place the Goo on at your starting point, and time it as it go along.   4. Results – Our results were that the Goo had an increase in speed with the water being added to the Chute ` … - Covering the Chute ! Wrapping the Aluminum Foil around the can ` … • We’re almost There ! • This is the Goo going down the Chute , almost to the stopping point !

  5. Conclusion The results agreed with our hypothesis. So water did have an increase on the speed of our Goo! Due to the reconstruction of our chute, we were not able to record the data.
