Invention: Kool-Aid • Kool-Aid started in Hastings, Nebraska • The first Kool-Aid flavors were strawberry, cherry, lemon-lime, grape, orange, and raspberry. • Kool-Aid was first spelt Kool-Ade • Kool-Aid is the official soft drink of Nebraska. • In 1929 Kool-Aid was distributed nation-wide to grocery stores by food brockers. • Kool-Aids trade mark is a smiley faced pitcher • Its kid friendly • How Perkins got Kool-Aid was by getting all the juice out of a fruit-snack.

  4. Inventor: Edwin Perkins • As a child Perkins experimented with home-made concoctions such as flavoring, extracts, and perfumes in his mothers kitchen. • In 1918 Perkins married his childhood sweetheart (Kitty), and continued to operate Perkins products.
