Reasons for the PIN Community • The Dutch Distribution companies have a long history • In 1920 we had about 320 distribution companies • Currently there are 11 companies left • These 11 consist of one national TSO and four large regional DSO’s, the remaining others are smaller DSO’s • The regulator wants to reduce the 11 DSO’s to 3 to 4 large DSO’s • Efficiency targets, Smart Grid developments • DSO’s and TSO are no competitors, we seek synergy

Some of our challenges • Determination of model maturity and choice of models • What are critical succes factors for a Business case • Hooking up the small DSO’s • Unique identification, codesytems: do we need it? • How to set up Maintenance and Governance of a shared model • Language problem, learn from predecessors • How to integrate / disintegrate subdomains into the Canonical model

Ambition • Looking to grow towards a Dutch CDPSM profile • Looking to re-use Gas modeling developed by STEDIN or collaborate on European level • Get hands-on experience in actual Business projects • Share experience within the company, within the Dutch Energy industry, within the International CIM community and learn from one another • Open for collaboration on European / international scale
