Wastewater Treatment • Grit screen • Primary: Settlement basin – sludge settles out and transported to landfill, incinerator or fertilizer • Secondary: Biological process - Add bacteria + oxygen (aerobic) • Secondary clarifier (recycle bacteria – eats more waste) • Tertiary treatment – chlorination or UV radiation – kills germs
