"The author, Adelaide A. Pollard (1862-1934) was born in Iowa. "Have Thine Own Way, Lord" was composed during a time when Miss Pollard was trying to raise funds to make a trip to Africa. The hymn was inspired in 1902 by a simple prayer of an elderly woman at a prayer meeting: "It really doesn't matter what you do with us, Lord -- just have your way with our lives .

This morning we must realized who is in control of everything. • “Have thine own way Lord”. • Your are my God. • You are my Creator. • You are my Savior. • You are my redeemer. • You are my sustainer. • You are my way, my truth and my life. • You are my shield. • You are my support. • “Have thine own way Lord” Romans 8:31 NKJV[31] What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
Jeremiah 18:1-6 NKJV[1] The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying: [2] "Arise and go down to the potter's house, and there I will cause you to hear My words." [3] Then I went down to the potter's house, and there he was, making something at the wheel. LORD, MOLD ME! • “Mold me & make me after Thy will, not mine!” (Rom. 13:14; John 5:30; 6:38) John 6:38 NKJV[38] For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me.

LORD, USE ME! • “I want you!
