Over The Years • Have participated somewhat with SCC dig programs • Successful in finding it, but not necessarily the critical SCC • Recent ILI results show promise
What Makes a Good Operator? • Doesn’t mean you can’t have failures • Lead by example • Share information (some better than others) • Understand your system and the safety issues you face, and plan/act accordingly
Information Exchange • Critical to Decision Making • Gives operators a queezy feeling • Establish model approach for consistency • Federal/State Partnership also important
Research Needs • Growth Rates • SCC Coupling with other defects • ILI improvements
