Rainwater to provide Safe Drinking Water

This study assesses the social, environmental, and economic impacts of using rainwater to provide safe drinking water. It highlights reduced travel for women, revenue generation, and sustainable water sources. Groundwater replenishment, reduced energy use, and improved water quality are key outcomes. The methodology includes surveys, impact assessment, and report preparation. Innovations like social auditing, economic models, and engineering designs are featured. Social aspects of beneficiary populations, caste-wise distributions, and income changes are analyzed. Educational status and household income variations across villages are examined before and after interventions.

  2. Findings of the Impact Study Social impact: Women don't have to travel long distances to collect drinking water. It is at their doors' steps. Runoff water is collected and used for revenue generation. People get safe and quality drinking water throughout the year. Healthy society due to safe drinking water (ii) Environmental Impact: Supply of drinking water by green (lesser energy intensive) and natural method Ground water replenishment Green cash crop is created.
