Part 2: Existing benchmarking practice & developing an accreditation system
44.2% of respondents identified that they have done some kind of benchmarking. Followed up with telephone calls to all individuals that responded ‘yes’ to benchmarking Collected relevant information on the benchmarking process to inform the SWOT. Who is currently benchmarking?

Accreditation system objectives Top objectives; • Increasing referrers understanding and awareness of the scheme (61.5%) • Supporting schemes to adopt best practice (48.7%) • Increasing the credibility of schemes across the region (46.2%) • Demonstrating service quality to commissioners (43.6%)
Next Steps • Final search for accreditation systems • SERER colleagues to provide information on any benchmarking undertaken • Summary report completed • Findings taken forward into the development of the South East Exercise Referral Accreditation System. • Handover SWOT analysis by 23 December 2009
