SNSM in figures . 3 500 sea-going rescuers . 1 200 persons in charge (Pdts, Dir, Sec, Treasurers, Trainers) ALL OF THEM VOLUNTARY + 46 paid staff (Headquarters, Saint Malo) . 230 Stations in a tight mesh  (3:4 permanent ones) and 27 Training Centres turning out 450 voluntary rescue-swimmers / year

RESOURCES of SNSMCONSIDERABLE AND EXPENSIVE ( YEARLY RENEWAL COST of 3 M € ) 170 Rescue vessels : . 40 All-weather boats (CTT) (0,7 M €) . 25 1st Class Patrol boats (0,6 M €) . 75 2nd Class Patrol boats (0,3 M €) . 30 various Patrol boats (0,1 M €) and 450 dinghies getting under way takes about 15 minutes
