Course Objectives • Learn the freshwater fish species of the Adks through ecological & morphological traits • Learn current & historical ecological & management issues that have impacted the Cranberry Lake fisheries • Learn about & effectively conduct fish sampling protocols appropriate to specific habitat types (e.g., streams vs. lakes) • Use the scientific process to design & implement a project that examines some aspect(s) of Adk fish ecology
Activities • Lake & stream fish sampling around CLBS • Field trips • Ausable River – Lake Placid • Wild Center – Tupper Lake • Laboratory analyses
