  2. Where? • Arolla in the Swiss Alps

  3. Activities • Arolla is a great place to experience the Alps for the first time. • Mountaineering • Walking • Climbing • Something for everyone!

  4. Alpine Mountaineering • Involves glacier crossing • Usually involves a day travelling to get to a mountain hut • Night spent either in hut or bivvying • Next day involves a very early start in order to get to the summit and then back down

  5. When and for How Long? • Sometime between start of July and early August. • Plan is to go for between 2-3 weeks. • If you cant make the whole trip, feel free to come out for as long as you can!

  6. Cost • Flights: £60-80 • Trains in Switzerland: £75 • Campsite: ~£7 per night • + Food • Minimum cost ~ £350 for 3 weeks
