Cyberbullying • Using cell phones, computers and/or online games to threaten and harass someone. • Often, faceless and emotionless. • Can be happening 24/7. • Creates a feeling that the bullying will not go away.
You Can Stop Cyberbullying • Stand together against it! • Responding to it, Passing it on or Encouraging others to do so, is Cyberbullying! • Tell an Adult.
Pictures and Videos • Be careful with pictures and videos of you and others. • Once its in the digital world – Others decide what they do with your picture.
Social NetworkingProfile The image you choose will also show up when you post to another site
Gamers Protect your personal information while gaming. Treat other gamers with respect. Ask your parent to play a game with you.
Online Relationships • You can use technology to create healthy relationships. • People you meet online are not people you know in person. • Talk to your friends and family about the “friends” you meet online.
Warning Signs • Isolates you from friends • Turns you against your family • Makes you keep everything a secret • Sends you inappropriate material • Threatens You
