  3. العسل Honey سورة محمد - سورة 47 - آية 15 مثل الجنة التي وعد المتقون فيها انهار من ماء غير اسن وانهار من لبن لم يتغير طعمه وانهار من خمر لذة للشاربين وانهار منعسل مصفى ولهم فيها من كل الثمرات ومغفرة من ربهم كمن هو خالد في النار وسقوا ماء حميما فقطع امعاءهم • A parable of the garden which the righteous are promised: • therein are rivers of pure water that does not alter, and • rivers of milk the taste whereof does not change, and • rivers of drink delicious to those who drink, and • rivers of pure honey for them therein, are all fruits and protection from their Lord. • Are these like those who abide in the fire and who are made to drink boiling water so it rends their bowels asunder.

  7. Milk لبن • Milk is a good source of calcium. • Milk nutrients, essential for bone growth and strength, are good especially for the children. • Calcium also prevents bone diseases like osteoporosis. • Milk protects the enamel surface of the tooth and helps in maintaining good dental health.

Milk لبن • Whole milk contains 3.25 percent butterfat by weight, compared to 2 percent for reduced-fat milk and none for skim milk. • An 8 ounce glass of whole milk contains eight grams of fat, including five grams of saturated fat. • Milk contains 113 milligrams of calcium and 8 grams of protein per 8 ounce serving, regardless of fat content. • Calcium maintains the strength of teeth and bones. • Only 1 percent of calcium in the body is outside the bones, but this 1% amount is crucial to the body's proper functioning. • Protein maintains muscle mass, participates in many crucial enzyme reactions and plays a key role in transporting oxygen in the body. • Milk also provides Vitamin D which promotes bone growth and development and helps prevent osteoporosis. • In addition, milk contains tryptophan, an amino acid that plays a role in regulating mood and sleep.

Figs التين • Fig fruit is low in calories. • However, figs contain soluble dietary fiber, minerals, vitamins, and pigment anti-oxidants, all of which contribute to optimum health and wellness. • Dried figs are a good source of minerals, vitamins and anti-oxidants. • Fresh figs, especially the black, are good source of flavonoid anti-oxidants such as carotenes, lutein, tannins, chlorogenic acid • The chlorogenic acid in the figs helps lower blood sugar and control blood-glucose levels in type-II diabetes mellitus. • Fresh figs contain adequate levels, such as vitamin A, E, and K. • Altogether these phyto-chemical compounds help scavenge harmful free radicals, thus help protect us from cancers, diabetes, degenerative diseases and infections.

Figs التين • Fresh, as well as dried figs contain good levels of: • B-complex vitamins such as niacin, pyridoxine, folates, and pantothenic acid. • These vitamins function as co-factors for metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. • Dried figs are an excellent sources of minerals like: • copper, potassium, calcium, manganese, iron, selenium and zinc. • Potassium is an important component of cell and body fluids that helps controlling heart rate and blood pressure. • Copper is required in the production of red blood cells. • Iron is essential for red blood cell formation as well for cellular oxidation.

Olives الزيتون • Beside providing energy, Olives provide significant amount of: • plant-derived anti-oxidants, • minerals, • phyto-sterols, and • vitamins. • Olive’s calorie content comes basically from mono-unsaturated fatty acids like: • oleic acid and • palmitoleic acid which help lower LDL "bad cholesterol" and increase HDL "good cholesterol". • Olives are powerful anti-oxidants and together with vitamin E and Carotenoids, they • play a vital role in fighting against inflammation, coronary artery disease, diabetes, degenerative nerve diseases,…etc.

Olives الزيتون • Mediterranean diet is rich in monounsaturated fatty acids which helps prevent coronary artery disease and strokes by favoring healthy blood lipid profile. • Studies suggest that oleocanthal has ibuprofen-like ant-inflammatory activities. • Olives contain a good amount of vitamin E. and canned fruits provide 1.65 mg of alpha-tocopherol. • Vitamin E is a lipid antioxidant, needed to maintain the integrity of cell membrane, mucosa and skin. • In addition, olives contain good amounts of minerals like: • calcium, copper, iron, manganese, and zinc. • Further, they provide a small source of B-complex, niacin, choline, and pantothenic acid. • Oil expressed from these olives contains linoleic (omega-6) and linolenic acid (omega-3) essential fatty acids.

Bananas وَطَلْحٍ مَنْضُودٍسورة الواقعة - سورة 56 - آية 29 وَأَصْحَابُ الْيَمِينِ مَا أَصْحَابُ الْيَمِينِ فِي سِدْرٍ مَخْضُودٍ وَطَلْحٍ مَنْضُودٍ And those on the right; how happy are those on the right! They will be among Lote-trees with no thorns, And banana-trees whose fruits are one above the other,

Bananas وَطَلْحٍ مَنْضُودٍ • The curvy yellow fruits are high in potassium and pectin, a form of fiber. • They also provide magnesium and • vitamins C and B6. • Bananas are high in antioxidants, which can provide protection from free radicals.  • Bananas are known to: • aid in weight loss, strengthen the nervous system • protect against developing type-2 diabetes, • plus, vitamin B6 can help you sleep well, and • magnesium helps to relax muscles. • Well-ripened bananas have a type of fiber that helps to restore and maintain regular bowel functions.

Bananas وَطَلْحٍ مَنْضُودٍ • Rich in vitamin B6, bananas play a significant role in triggering the chemical reactions of proteins and amino acids. • They keep the chemical balance among bodily fluids, help energy production, and • Provide endurance against stress. • Their carbohydrates function as helper enzymes in the metabolic processing of fats and proteins. • Bananas’ potassium together with sodium, promotes cell and muscle development, and regulates the body's water equilibrium and heartbeat.

Pomegranate الرمان 141 and سورة الأنعام - سورة 6 - آية 99 وهو الذي انشا جنات معروشات وغير معروشات والنخل والزرع مختلفا اكله والزيتون والرمان متشابها وغير متشابه كلوا من ثمره اذا اثمر واتوا حقه يوم حصاده ولا تسرفوا انه لا يحب المسرفين And He it is Who produces gardens of vine, trellised and un-trellised, and palm trees, and produce, whose fruits are of various sorts, and olives, and pomegranates, (the likes and otherwise); eat of its fruit when it bears fruit, and pay its due on the day of its reaping, and do not be extravagant; surely Allah does not like the extravagant.

Pomegranate الرمان • Pomegranate is a good source of soluble and insoluble dietary fiber; Dietary fiber aids in smooth digestion and bowel movements. • Nutritionists recommend pomegranates for weight reduction and cholesterol control. • Regular inclusion of fruits in the diet boosts immunity, improves circulation, and offers protection from cancers. • Granatin B, and Punicalagin are found abundantly in the pomegranate juice. Studies suggest that punicalagin and tannins can be effective in reducing the risk of heart-disease by scavenging harmful free radicals from the human body. • One pomegranate provides 40 percent of your daily vitamin C. • Pomegranates also contain folate, fiber, potassium, niacin, vitamin A and E.

Pomegranate الرمان • Pomegranate is a good source of vitamin-C. • Consumption of fruits rich in vitamin C helps the body develop resistance against infectious agents by boosting immunity. • Regular consumption of pomegranate has also been found to be effective against • prostate cancer, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), • diabetes, and lymphoma. • Further, pomegranate is a good source of many vitamin B-complex groups • such as pantothenic acid (vitamin B-5), • folates, pyridoxine and vitamin K, and • Minerals like • calcium, copper, • potassium, and manganese.

Palm trees (Dates)النخيل سورة النحل - سورة 16 - آية 11 and سورة النحل - سورة 16 - آية 67 ينبت لكم به الزرع والزيتون والنخيل والاعناب ومن كل الثمرات ان في ذلك لاية لقوم يتفكرون He produces for you corn, olives, palm trees, grapes and every kind of fruit: Verily in this is a sign for those who give thought. ومن ثمراتالنخيل والاعناب تتخذون منه سكرا ورزقا حسنا ان في ذلك لاية لقوم يعقلون And from the fruit of the palm trees, and the vine, ye get out wholesome drink and food: behold, in this also is a sign for those who are wise.

Palm trees (Dates)النخيل • Dates are rich in essential nutrients, vitamins, and minerals. • Fresh dates contain simple sugars like fructose and dextrose. • Dates are rich in dietary fiber, (which prevents absorption of LDL cholesterol in the gut). • Additionally, the fiber works as a bulk laxative. • It, thus, helps to protect the colon mucous membrane from cancer-causing chemicals binding to it in the colon. • Dates contain antioxidants known as tannins. • Tannins are known to possess anti-inflammatory, and • anti-hemorrhagic (prevent easy bleeding tendencies) properties.

Palm trees (Dates)النخيل • Dates provide moderate sources of vitamin-A (essential for vision) and maintaining healthy mucous membranes and skin. • Dates contain antioxidant flavonoids such as ß-carotene, lutein, and zea-xanthin. • These antioxidants protect cells and other structures from the harmful radicals. • Dates are a good source of iron. • Iron, being a component of hemoglobin inside the red blood cells, determines the oxygen-carrying capacity of the blood. • Dates are a good sources of potassium. • Potassium is an important component of cell and body fluids that help regulate heart rate and blood pressure. • Dates are also rich in minerals like calcium, manganese, copper, and magnesium.

Grapes اعنابسورة الأنعام - سورة 6 - آية 99 وهو الذي انزل من السماء ماء فاخرجنا به نبات كل شيء فاخرجنا منه خضرا نخرج منه حبا متراكبا ومن النخل من طلعها قنوان دانية وجنات مناعناب والزيتون والرمان مشتبها وغير متشابه انظروا الى ثمره اذا اثمر وينعه ان في ذلكم لايات لقوم يؤمنون He it is Who provides water from the clouds, and therewith We bring forth buds of every kind; We bring forth the green blade from which We bring forth the thick-clustered grain; and from the date-palm, from the pollen thereof, spring pendant bunches; and We bring forth gardens of grapes, and the olive and the pomegranate, alike and unlike. Look upon the fruit thereof, when they bear fruit, and upon its ripening. Lo! herein verily are portents for a people who believe.

Grapes اعناب • Grapes contain flavonoids (powerful antioxidants) which reduce damage caused by free radicals and slow down aging. • Grapes, due to their high nutrient content, play an important role in ensuring a healthy and active life. • Grapes are a wonderful source of micro-nutrients like copper, iron, and manganese. • Adding grapes to diet on a regular basis can prevent the onset of age-related diseases like osteoporosis. • Manganese aids in everything: • from protein metabolism, to • collagen formation, and • nervous system functioning.

He said: Will you exchange that which is better for that which is worse? Enter a city, so you will have what you ask for. And abasement and humiliation were brought down upon them, and they became deserving of Allah's wrath; this was so because they disbelieved in the communications of Allah and killed the prophets unjustly; this was so because they disobeyed and exceeded the limits.

  28. بقلها Herbs • Herbs, including basil and parsley, are from plants and plant parts. • Spices often come from the seeds, berries, bark, or roots of plants. • There are many health benefits to the regular use of herbs and spices. • Many of them provide antioxidants, protecting against free radicals. • Some can be used for medicinal purposes. • Others are used in cooking, and some are even aphrodisiacs. • The main herbs and spices offering health benefits are: • cinnamon, chili peppers, turmeric, garlic, oregano, basil, thyme, and rosemary.

  29. بقلها Herbs • Seasonings, such as cinnamon, often lead lists of commonly eaten foods with high level of antioxidant activity. • Herbs and spices provide Polyphenols, a type of plant compound, as the main ingredient health benefit. • Polyphenols are also abundant in certain fruits and vegetables, and tea. • Certain herbs and spices curb inflammation that may give rise to heart disease and cancer. • For example, antioxidants in cinnamon have been linked to lower inflammation, as well as • reductions in blood glucose level in people with diabetes.

  31. قثاءCucumbers • Cucumber contains no saturated fats or cholesterol. • Cucumber is a good source of dietary fiber that helps reduce constipation, and in eliminating toxic compounds from the gut. • Cucumber is a good source of potassium, (important intracellular electrolyte). • Potassium is a heart friendly electrolyte that helps lower blood pressure and heart rates. • Cucumber has high amount of vitamin K. • vitamin K plays an important role in blood clotting • Vitamin K2 is taken by mouth to treat osteoporosis and bone loss caused by steroids,

  32. قثاءCucumbers • Cucumbers contains unique anti-oxidants such as ßeta-carotene and alpha-carotene, vitamin-C, vitamin-A, zea-xanthin and lutein. • The compounds help act as protective scavengers against oxygen-derived free radicals that play a role in aging and various disease processes. • Cucumbers have mild diuretic property, which perhaps is attributed to: • their free-water, and • high potassium and low sodium content. • This helps in checking weight gain and high blood pressure.

Garlic فومها • Strong flavored, garlic cloves contain many noteworthy phyto-nutrients, minerals, vitamins, and antioxidants. • Allicin and other essential volatile compounds in garlic have anti-bacterial, anti-viral, and anti-fungal activities. • Garlic is a good source of minerals and vitamins. • The bulbs are one of the richest sources of potassium, iron, calcium, magnesium, manganese, zinc, and selenium. • Selenium is a heart-healthy mineral, and is an important cofactor for antioxidant enzymes within the body. • Manganese is used by the body as a co-factor for the antioxidant enzyme. • Iron is required for red blood cell formation.

Garlic فومها • The bulbs of garlic contain organic sulfinite compounds such as: • diallyl disulfide, diallyl trisulfide and allyl propyl disulfide. • Upon disruption of bulb (while crushing, cutting, etc.), these compounds convert into allicin through enzymatic reaction. • Allicin reduces blood cholesterol. • Allicin decreases blood vessel stiffness through nitric oxide release. Nitric oxide relaxes blood vessels, thus lowers the blood pressure. • Allicin blocks platelet-clot formation and has fibrinolytic action inside the blood vessels. • Thus decrease the overall risk from coronary artery disease, and peripheral vascular diseases, and • decrease the overall risk from stroke.

  37. العدسLentils • Lentils are good source of protein, folic acid, dietary fiber, vitamin C, B complex, essential amino acids and trace minerals. • Lentils are low in fat; most of their calories come from protein and carbohydrates. • Beans, peas, and lentils are high in dietary fiber. • Among the winter growing legumes, lentils have the highest concentration of antioxidants. • After meat, poultry, fish and soybeans, lentils are the next highest source of protein.

  38. العدسLentils • Lentils do not provide complete protein because they lack a sufficient amount of two amino acids: (methionine and cysteine). • Beans and lentils are high in folate, phosphorus, potassium, iron, zinc, calcium, and selenium. • Legumes have many of the B vitamins and are rich in antioxidants. • Many kinds of beans, including soybeans, are rich in saponins –- an anti-inflammatory compound which: • helps the immune system • And lowers the cholesterol. • Just don't overcook your beans, because overcooking and tossing out the pot liquors can result in loss of saponins.

Onions البصل • Onions have therapeutic antibacterial, antifungal properties. • Onions are rich in thiosulfinate, sulfide, sulfur oxides and other sulfur-smelling mixture.  • Thiosulfinates produce an anti-bacterial agent. • Onions encourage a healthy heart in many ways, including "lowering blood pressure and lowering heart attack risk." • The sulfur in onions acts as a natural blood thinner and prevents blood platelets from aggregating. • The quercetin in onions may also help prevent plaque buildup in the arteries, which reduces the risk of heart attack and stroke.

  41. Onions البصل • Onions are excellent sources of vitamin C, sulphuric compounds, flavonoids and phytochemicals • Flavonoids are responsible for pigments in many fruits and vegetables. They may help reduce the risk of Parkinson's disease, cardiovascular disease and stroke.. • Phytochemicals, are naturally occurring compounds in fruits and vegetables that are able to react with the human body to trigger healthy reactions. • Onions also contain small amounts of: • calcium, iron, folate, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, • the antioxidants quercetin, sulfur, and manganese.

Fruits الثمرات سورة إبراهيم - سورة 14 - آية 32 and سورة إبراهيم - سورة 14 - آية 37 الله الذي خلق السماوات والارض وانزل من السماء ماء فاخرج به منالثمرات رزقا لكم وسخر لكم الفلك لتجري في البحر بامره وسخر لكم الانهار Allah is He Who created the heavens and the earth and povided water from the clouds, then brought forth with it fruits as a sustenance for you, and He has made the ships subservient to you, that they might run their course in the sea by His command, and He has made the rivers subservient to you. ربنا اني اسكنت من ذريتي بواد غير ذي زرع عند بيتك المحرم ربنا ليقيموا الصلاة فاجعل افئدة من الناس تهوي اليهم وارزقهم من الثمرات لعلهم يشكرون O our Lord! surely I have settled a part of my offspring in a valley unproductive of fruit near Thy Sacred House, our Lord! that they may keep up prayer; therefore make the hearts of some people yearn towards them and provide them with fruits; haply they may be grateful:

Fruits الثمرات • Fruit’s health benefits are because of their richness in vitamins, minerals, micro-nutrients, pigment anti-oxidants. • Altogether, these compounds help the body prevent or at least prolong the natural changes of aging by protecting from damage and rejuvenating cells, tissues, and organs. • Fruits are low in calories and fat and are a source of simple sugars, fiber, and vitamins. • Fruits provide plenty of soluble dietary fiber. • By including fruits in daily diet, you are protecting yourself from: • minor ailments like: wrinkling of skin, memory loss to • major ailments like age-related macular degeneration of the retina, • and weak bones (osteoporosis)… etc.,

  44. Fruits الثمرات • Fruits contain many anti-oxidants that: • help protect us from oxidant stress, and diseases, and • help boosting our immunity level. • Anthocyanins are flavonoid found in some "blue-fruits" like • Blue or black grapes, mulberries, acai berry, chokeberry, • blueberries, blackberries, and • in many vegetables featuring blue or deep purple pigments. • These compounds have potent anti-oxidant properties, and thus offer protection against, aging, infections, etc. • Most of these pigments are concentrated underneath the skin of the fruit.
