The aim of my investigation is • to study the roleoftheEnglish language in the process of globalization.

The actuality of the problem. • The English language is an • international language; • it is the standard for diplomacy. • It is the most widely spoken • language in the world. • It is learned as a second • language all around the world.
Geographical background. Countries where English is an official or de facto official language
Practical part. Interview. Questions. Which language do you learn in school? Why did you decide to learn it? Do you think that the English language is an universal one? Do you use English when you visit different countries? What languages are also very important in the world?
Practical part: Interview 84% of pupils decided to learn the English language because it is very important in modern world. Almost 96% of pupils think that English is an universal language. 57% of pupils would use English in travelling but it’s not good enough. 34% of pupils think that they should speak language of the country they visit. 9% of pupils use English in travelling. Almost all pupils agreed that French and German are also very important in the modern world.
Conclusion. I think that my goal has been achieved. And now we can answer the main question which I set up at the beginning of my project. English is the great language but not the only language to admire.
