Greetings from sunny Perth! An update from Kimi, May - Aug 2005
Hi everyone! • Here is a quick update to let everyone know what I have been up to. Also to invite you all to my lunch in Melbourne on September 11th. I originally wrote this update for my family (hence the G rating). This pic is me in the bridesmaid's dress for my sister Karen's wedding. I left it in so you guys can giggle! ;-)
My birthday was pretty quiet. Peter and I had lunch in Freo (at a great restaurant that we have already gone back to!) I LOVED my birthday present! Peter has stopped working now and is happy being a lazy bum (you know, when he isn't washing my clothes or cooking great dinners for us...)
My job is great. I am stationed at Sir Charles Gairdner hospital most of the time, but I love going up the street to the University campus. It is one of the most picturesque in the country! (we even have our own roaming peacocks)
Things have really gotten interesting since the students started. They are a great group and so far our classes have been running smoothly. This semester, the Uni is sending me to a tertiary education course. It's about the equivalent of one Uni subject. That has been good fun, very helpful and in case my contract is not extended it will look great on my cv! They definitely pay me too much.
The Perth Winter has not been too threatening at all. We have been out and about...
... and we are eating REALLY well.
I bought a new toy for the trip! (Paid for, but not picked up yet.)
Hope you guys enjoyed my update! I can't wait to come back and catch up with everyone. Hopefully you guys can come to lunch at the Sugar Gum Hotel in Sydenham (sorry Easterners...) on September 11th. I know the date sucks but hey, at least it's memorable! Till then, have a good one! Cheers, Kimi
