How Is Wire Mesh Fence Installed?
Wire mesh fencing keeps your horses safe from wild animals and human intruders. It may not be the best option for privacy but it is definitely safe. Normally, horse fences are 6 or more feet tall in order to discourage grazing over the fence. Prerequisites for mesh fence installation ●Wheel barrow ●Cement ●Stakes ●Clotheslines ●Hole diggers ●Posts ●Sand and gravel ●Caps and bands ●Water ●Bolts ●Wire ties
Hole digging After determining the area that needs to be confined, stakes are placed on the ground after every 10 feet and in all corners. The stakes represent where posts need to be mounted. Clothesline is tied to each stake to ensure a straight fence. At every terminal stake, a hole of 10 inches wide is dug using a hole digger. Terminal stakes represent corner stakes. Then all other stakes are taken off the ground and replaced with posts. To build a firm foundation, the holes bottom should be slightly wider in order to allow in more cement. Post placement and top rail construction Gravel, sand, and cement n the ratio of 4:2:1. Cement should be wetted before getting mixed. Every post hole should be filled with this mixture to support the post. One day is allowed for posts to set before constructing the remaining fence. After the posts get ready, tension bands are placed on every corner post, 2 inches from the top. Then brace bands are attached and the posts topped with post caps. The top rail is run through each loop cap. A carriage bolt is used to secure the rail at the brace of every corner post. From every corner, a new rail begins.
Mesh installation The fencing mesh is unrolled and connected to one tension band at a corner with the help of cartilage bolt. It is spread along posts and wire ties are used to embed the mesh to the top rail at an interval of 2feet. It is tied to every tension band along the perimeter.
