  2. Stamp-Act • Who was involved? George Grenville • Details about topic. Parliaments first serious attempt to assert government authority over the colonies buy goods with the stamp on it. • How is it important today? The money collected by stamp act was to be to help pay the cost of the defending and protecting the American frontier.

  3. Tea-Act • Who was involved? Parliament • Details about topic. The tea act and placed new tax on tea. Instead it simply gave a tax break to the east India company. • How is it important today? Led to the Boston tea party

  4. Intolerable act • Who was involved? Parliament and king George III • Details about topic. The intolerable acts were passed in spring 1774 by king George III ordered 3 ship loads of tea and demanded a new tax and had it dumped in Boston. • How is it important today? Because of the American revolution.

  5. Sugar act • Who was involved? Prime minister Georeg Grenville • Details about topic. A more far-reacting consequence of the sugar act involved its transfer of smuggling cases from provincial courts to vice admiralty courts. • How is it important today? It had made the colonists mad that the British put taxes on the sugar
