Basement Dig-out • Client: Lotties’ New Pub • Location: Chicago (Bucktown) • Building Type: One story bar and restaurant • Problem: Basement of building was unusable space due to low ceiling height. • Solution: Dug out basement, installed drainage system, poured 10” double steel reinforced structural concrete slab with retaining wall running along the perimeter of basement allowing for the build-out of basement area for use as an addition lower level bar and entertainment area.
Basement Dig-out • Start of dig-out. • Hit water after 1 foot dig necessitating installation of drainage system.
