Making a Commitment to Partnerships • Make the creation of partnerships a part of • your Strategic Plan, identify time frames and • goals • Ask officials and community leaders to identify • what they consider to be pressing community • issues and needs. • Think outside the box. • Even if the library does not have the resources you • may be able to coordinate a successful effort • involving multiple groups. • The library can offer a vision, meeting space, • research capability, organization skills, public • computers, staff creativity…
