Composed of six (6) Provinces, two (2) cities (Baguio/Tabuk), 75 municipalities and 1,176 barangays • the region’s land area of 18,226.9 sq. km is7%of the totalland mass of the Philippines • based on land use opportunity, an aggregate of 4,540 sq. km are classified as agricultural lands • majority of the 13,350 hectares are forest lands • of the 102,467,483 Philippines’ Total Population about 1.58% is in CAR(1,722,006 as of CY 2015);smallest region in terms of population size • The Regional Development Council – CAR is preparing for the establishment of Cordillera Administrative Region to be autonomous
